@MahatmaaGanji Well of course,theres no legal option not to file. The high non-filer rates are in addition to a number of penalties prescribed in law against persons wilfully avoiding filing their returns.

@Immad_86 Then you educate people instead of creating a legal option to not file. Non-filer as a category needs to be phased out and replaced with stricter language and consequences. Otherwise the salaried class will continue to bear the brunt of FBR’s taxation.

@MahatmaaGanji Theres a lot of ignorance around tax laws. People think if its already deducted, then they don't need to file. Whereas sec 114 of Income Tax Ordinance mandates filing even in cases where there may not be any income eg doctors registered with PMDC but not yet employed
