The event was officially opened by the Legal Representative of AVEGA Agahozo, who emphasized that inclusive NbS engaging women, men, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups are essential for sustainable, effective, and equitable outcomes. The Peer Learning Event continues tomorrow with a field visit to the Mageragere childcare program established at a tree nursery. Participants will engage with children and parents and observe results achieved through the Early Childhood Development (ECD) program. #ClimateAdaptation #UrbanSustainability #genderEquality #NbS @IISD_news @WRIafrica @ARCOSNetwork @ywprwanda @CityofKigali @RwandaGender @GenderMonitorRw @RwandaForestry @RwandaWomenNet @haguruka_ngo @RwandaNCDA

This morning, @ywprwanda joined a special Umuganda at Rugenge–Rwintare Wetland, where we planted trees and cleaned up plastics to help preserve it. This wetland is one of five in Kigali being rehabilitated to improve biodiversity, water quality, and flood resilience.
