GUYS, BE CAREFUL ⚠️ A new type of scam is currently spreading across Web3. And this time, they’re not trying to sell you a fake token. They’re offering you… a job. This is already my second experience with this kind of scam. And honestly, without basic security reflexes, it could have ended very badly. I had already planned to make a post about this for a while. But after what happened again today, I’d rather warn you now before more people get trapped. Here’s how they operate 👇 ☞ A supposed team member contacts you. Usually a “CEO”, “HR Manager”, or “Community Lead”. The profile looks credible. Sometimes the project is even real. And they tell you your application for a position like: • CM • Moderator • Content Creator has been accepted. Your first reaction? You’re excited. Normal. Your brain immediately starts imagining the onboarding, the salary, the official announcement. The dopamine hamster starts sprinting. Then they propose an interview. At first: 📍Google Meet 📍Telegram Call 📍Discord Everything seems normal. Then at the last minute, the plan changes. Suddenly they ask you: → to switch to Zoom → to install an external application → or to absolutely be on PC And that’s where the trap begins. Their goal is not to recruit you. Their goal is to take control of your machine. Two common scenarios usually happen: 1️⃣ They ask for remote control access through Zoom. If you accept… it’s over. 2️⃣ They ask you to install a “required software for the meeting”. In reality: malware, data theft, session hijacking, wallet draining. The classic Web3 chaos cocktail. And the detail that often confirms the scam: ☞ The moment you refuse, the conversation disappears. Or they instantly block you. A few simple tips: • Never blindly trust a “CEO” in your DMs • Always verify the project’s official accounts • Be suspicious of offers that seem too good to be true • Never install unknown software for an interview • Never accept remote control requests And most importantly: In Web3, urgency is often a psychological weapon. Scammers want you to react fast. Not think carefully. Protect your wallets. Protect your devices. But above all, protect your mind.
