1/4 I’ve spoken with and mentored many young new artists coming up all feeling down on themselves about not being a $50k per billing top tier dj in their first couple years of finally getting on the scene. Just to sober you up a bit, you just got here bro. chase n status have been at this game since you were in grade school and only really reached the heights they were aiming for in the last few years, david guetta didnt make it til he was 41, solomun a living legend didnt make it til he was 36 i could list many legends who didnt make it til they were in their late 30s late 40s and some even in their 50s - hell Giorgio Mordor had his comeback at 70!. The point is, you need to do this shit for the love of it. Everyone’s journey is VASTLY different, some will take decades some will take what feels like only a year but the only way they got there (unless nepo baby) was through sheer resilience in their love for the craft not their love for notoriety which gives off a desperate energy that people can pick up on. Nobody will ever make it the way I did and nobody will ever make it the way you will and there is no way of telling how any of that could ever possibly happen.
