The whole “people are pretending to like/hate this thing” is the most obnoxious, smug approach. I don’t even like Lost in Translation very much but to say its crap people are fake-liking is just willfully ignorant and shows you have no intent of genuinely commenting on the film.

@jfkenney I think the two films apart were better than the Whole Bloody Affair. It was fun to watch once but going forward I’d rather just watch Parts one and two back to back. I think the added cartoon was meh and the 88s fight actually better in black and white.

Is it really better to sit through all of KILL BILL in the most recent version w/ the cartoon and all that, or is it better as two different uniquely paced movies? I'm just curious what people thought (I bought the streaming version of the new one, but haven't watched it yet)

I used to have every film Clint Eastwood directed or acted in and my wake-up moment was finally realizing a big chunk of his filmography is absolute crap. I've pared his works down in my library without too much difficulty. Cutting down on my Scorsese collection was a lot harder.

I'm trying to pare down my bluray collection and its stupidly hard. So many good movies and making a demarcation line in my mind of which are worth keeping and which can be passed on is impossible.
