@k_starfox88 @DigitalFringed1 True that. But not me. I am finishing up leftover creole ground chicken, broccoli, mushroom and onion stir-fry over red beans and rice. It was the first time I've used ground chicken and was pleasantly surprised.

I tip hard. I love to bless folks, especially if they do a good job. I even tip when someone sucks. But these comparisons always make me wonder, what’s wrong with making $40/hour to serve a table? I remember gloving 14,400 volts out of a bucket truck 55’ in the air for $30/hr and that seemed fair.

@itsCoryOnX That argument is logically poor. 1st, a "better experience" is subjective and can vary widely. 2nd, many people who claim to have a "better experience" do not have the same philosophies, ethics or morals. 3rd, bad things can/do happen to people with "great" philosophies.

I don’t think it’s a difference in standards bud. I’m 45. I’m pretty well traveled. I’ve seen some changes over the years. It’s not like I just got here. Anyways, the post wasn’t about complaining about the proverbial ’them/they’ but more to compare the expected wages to other trades that are far harder or more dangerous

@JJTHEGYMRAT And peptides are a recent addition to help repair shoulder injuries, but will probably go by the wayside as I face an upcoming income drop.

Most people don’t have an extra $500-$700+ a month for peptides, GH, test, and every other “magic” add-on social media pushes. Coworkers ask me about it at all the time. My answer? Brother… eat cleaner, do some cardio, lift some weights, and stand in front of the mirror naked long enough to tell yourself the truth. That part’s still free. 💯

@JJTHEGYMRAT I don't do GH, but have done test for awhile, not for better lifting or looking like a jacked stud, but for other benefits of the hormone that were immediately apparent right after I started using it. Benefits that all you suggest didn't do for me on their own.

@itsCoryOnX Ultimately, I'm grateful for service that meets my expectations and tip accordingly. When the service sucks, I still will tip but much less. Results matter and should lead to consequences. Unfortunately the US has fallen far from that standard.

@itsCoryOnX That doesn't always work, especially in larger cities where they have been raised to believe they are doing you a favor by serving you at all. Your approach feeds an entitlement mentality and doesn't do shit to improve service. "You get the behavior you tolerate" applies.

@itsCoryOnX It could also be that your expectations are different. I find in a lot of things that Gen Y/Z/Alpha expectations of a lot of things are lower than my generation. The "Participation trophy" mentality sums it up. If you get used to shit long enough, you start calling it good.

@NickJFreitas @SenWarren That's what many of the people where I live seem to want. Never lived in a place where such a high percentage (1/3) want to be taken care of like they are still young children. While some are legit cases of people who need the help, some just got used to not having to work.

Republicans need to focus on domestic policy. Voters care about cost of gas, groceries, homes, etc. because it’s part of their daily lives. We’ve delivered some good wins, but if we don’t deliver on what we promised for the average American, we’ll have the midterms we deserve.
