Don’t say these things in a screening interview: - “So I’ll just give a bit of background…” If your opening isn’t crisp, you’ve already lost attention. - Listing what you worked on. Tasks aren’t differentiators. Outcomes are. - Corporate jargon or polish. Hiring managers hate signs of inauthenticity and hear "safe" answers as a sign of risk-avoidance.
