@j_t_palmer To be fascist is an admission of failure. They want to force the world to march because they fear they cannot dance.

Is cutting welfare by 50% for those with severe mental health issues unable to work treating them with dignity and respect? I'm leaning towards no.

Your personal reminder that Pat McFadden is the grifter who claimed £40k in taxpayer money to have a second residence closer to work. How much closer, you ask? Right next door to his existing home. Yes really. (And that rent will have increased since the article below was published a couple of years ago now)

Performing a medical task requires more than knowing how & when to do it. It requires knowledge of what not to do and when to ask for help. We don’t recommend that PAs perform LPs, amongst others. Medicine cannot be broken down into tasks. Some things require a medical degree

There’s only ONE question I’d be asking WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO IMPLEMENT THE @lengreview RECOMMENDATIONS ? If he can’t even keep his word to make sure that patients safe from physician assistants then he can’t keep his word to the country as PM

Freezing GP training expansion during an NHS workforce shortage is reckless. Patients already face long waits for appointments, and delaying new GP posts risks worsening access to care when the system urgently needs more frontline doctors. #WesStreeting telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/0…

The spread of "We have to prevent panic at all costs" as a memetic contagion is remarkable. We're at the point where we routinely have worse outcomes- including mass deaths, due to a nebulous fear of panic, which is just accepted as the worst possible outcome. "Better people die than be scared". Greater deaths are a reason to avoid fear, you don't choose greater deaths to avoid fear itself. Not every place is a crowded stadium or movie theater. foreignpolicy.com/2020/09/16/tru… What exactly is the "panic" the UK is so afraid of, if they, at a minimum, provisionally advise wearing a respirator at least until complete contract tracing has been done? Crushed in a stampede to Boots? Or do they mean "people might be less likely to go out shopping and dining"? It sounds like they are afraid of spreading judicious caution that might slightly cost the capital class, not panic.

UK: Don't wear a mask for Meningitis "The UKHSA do not advise wearing face masks as they have no role in controlling meningococcal disease outbreaks." "They can actually create the wrong message as well, because it can actually spread panic and again, revive the memories of Covid when not this is not Covid, it is a very specific infection which has a specific way of spreading." @1goodtern Kidney Care UK kidneycareuk.org/news-from-kidn…

This letter is important but only a small win for patients No targets - means if there appears to be it can be challenged Right to refer means Jess’s rule applies Named A&G means legal accountability but GPs can decline Onward referrals Raising concerns - everyone must do it

NHS FIRED A NURSE FOR TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT DYING PATIENTS Graham Pink was a 57-year-old night charge nurse at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. He looked after 23 severely ill elderly patients at a time. On his ward, there was one qualified nurse and two healthcare assistants. That was it. He said the patients he cared for had survived the Second World War. They deserved better than this. So he did what you're supposed to do. He wrote letters. To his managers. To the hospital. To his MP. He asked for three more nurses per night. Three. The request was refused because, and this is real, it would set a precedent for other hospitals. God forbid. When his letters ended up on the front page of The Guardian in 1990, Stockport Health Authority (@StockportNHS) sacked him for breaching patient confidentiality. The patients whose neglect he was exposing, apparently, had their confidentiality to think about. The Health Minister at the time was asked in Parliament whether he'd congratulate Pink for his courage. He said no. He said Pink's allegations weren't supported by colleagues or clinicians. Classic. Pink fought a five-year tribunal battle. He won in 1993. The Health Authority pulled out before it could get worse for them, claiming the legal costs were too high. They awarded him £11,188. The maximum allowed. Then didn't reinstate him. His nursing career was finished. His lawyer called it a triumph for those whose priority is care for patients over those whose first care is for balance sheets. Pink went on to campaign for proper whistleblower protection. His case was cited in Parliament when the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 was being drafted. The law that was supposed to stop this happening again. The law that still gets ignored on a regular basis. He wrote a book about it in 2013. He died in 2021, aged 91, cared for by nurses who told his family it was an honour to look after him. The system that punished him is still running. Source: The Guardian, Wikipedia, Nursing Standard,

Physician ASSISTANTS were deliberately mis-sold to the House of Lords via backdoor secondary legislation to ASSIST Doctors. Their limp 2yr course does NOT study *medicine*, they do NOT qualify in *medicine*. This job advert for a vastly overpaid PA is outright fxckng lethal‼️⚠️☠️

Biobank data is supposed to be safe, unable to link to specific people. But there is clear evidence that it can be linked. Another reason to prevent Palantir’s future involvement in the NHS No data is entirely encrypted when there is so much information

Dr's have propped up the NHS for far too long with underpaid labour and goodwill Running the health service is the governments job Including paying doctors what they are worth Meanwhile, Australian patients are benefiting from the Dr's this country trained and then failed to keep
Dr Haseena Wazir@DrHWazir

RPI is 4.1%. The DDRB has recommended a 3.5% uplift. That’s a real terms pay cut. Resident doctors are already earning around 21% less in real terms than in 2008; while the job has become more complex, more pressured, and higher risk. The gap to pay restoration still stands.

The House of Lords has done a great service to vulnerable people & the country by exposing the flaws in the Terminally Ill Adults Bill. Their scrutiny has protected us from a dangerous assisted suicide law. For MPs to use the Parliament Acts now would be misguided & reckless.
