@Terry94023972 Let’s be honest though. All parties are cut from the same cloth… talk a big game but when the time comes, they look after themselves before the people who pay their wages
English

@Capt_Fishpaste Personally, I didn’t vote. I don’t see any suitable choice in my opinion.
English

If you want to assign blame for voting Reform, I suggest you lay it at the feet of the opposition parties, not the voters.
Democracy is just people voting for who they think is their best option, and if you can't provide a better option to people than Reform, you are not fit to govern. Simple as.

From having a tifo to being labelled a “PE teacher”
Life comes at you fast on Tyneside
What would happen if this fanbase was ever truly tested..

Scotty T MBE@ScottGShore
How bad is it - that were six points away from European spots… And I’m hoping we lose every single remaining game just to force this PE teacher out? His legacy is getting tarnished more and more every week. He will never take us any further

@jim8oy66 At the end of the day, with all the problems the country has. Singling out disabled people for taking benefits most of them need is not the way forward.
I feel bad that you feel so strongly about something you clearly don’t understand.
English

@JasonB090529 I never once said that people with autism shouldn’t get extra benefits, I said that the motability scheme should not be an option to an able bodied person, that is not what it was intended for and it is being abused.
English

@jim8oy66 What kind of question is that? Again, it shows how ignorant you are towards the condition. 😂
English

@JasonB090529 Can I ask, do you believe autistic people should be able to park in a disabled parking space?
English

@jim8oy66 Also, if you were to know the amount of money companies charge for sensory equipment etc… you’d understand why DLA is paid or why motability is granted.
English

My grandson is autistic, I do have sympathy for the condition, but I stand by my point, it is open to abuse and is being abused.
In the past you would tell the DHSS that you couldn’t walk for example more than 20m cos you needed a hip replacement, this is something easily verified by your medical records and doctors, but how do you prove your autistic child can’t cope with public transport?.. you don’t have to prove it, you can just write it on the form now!
And besides, when did it become the state’s responsibility to chauffeur your child around because they are “sensitive”, my daughter takes my grandson in her own car, or they walk or cycle.
If we gave everyone benefits because they were sensitive we’d be bankrupt, this has to be properly scrutinised.
English

@jim8oy66 Mate, educate yourself on autism before you have just a wild opinion on it! I understood, it’s very easy to be ignorant if you’ve not experienced living with autism. I felt the same until I educated myself. 😀
English

😂 wow this hit a nerve!.. ok let’s unpick this, the motability scheme was initially designed to help people with a physical disability get around, if they qualified they could get the enhanced rate of the mobility component of DLA or PIP as it is now known, you could keep this extra money or use it to lease a motability car.
Here’s where my problem is.. while I appreciate there are varying degrees of autism, the fact remains that it is entirely possible today to say your child is “scared of buses” for instance and there is no way of confirming if this is true! The same applies to ADHD and people with anxiety, they can simply say they are triggered by people or buses or trains or anything, which of course is open to abuse.
My facts are correct, ask grok if you don’t believe me, nobody with anxiety and depression should be entitled to this benefit in my opinion, it’s so open to abuse and has been increasingly used since 2016 to now unsustainable levels.
People need to accept that while there are many people who deserve this help there are also many that are playing the system, and the system is collapsing.
English

@RupertLowe10 It’s crazy that you’d have to make this a policy, to be honest 🤣
English
