@ChrisGuk1 @EmamiPhd @Docstockk I don't have a strong position on this either way. Whether bathrooms are (1) female or (2) for women is going to change based on convention and prevailing norms. Whether they *should* be 1 or 2 is complicated. I'm unconvinced by Stock's arguments here, but I could be swayed.

@ChrisGuk1 @EmamiPhd @Docstockk I don't think trans women are female - I agree with Stock there. But I do think they're women, and that gender & sex are distinct. My reasons for this would require discussion I haven't recorded explicitly elsewhere. Indirectly, the reasons stem from my work on social groups.

@capi2274 @helenzille Yes, Helen Zille is not a philosopher. But she is making philosophical claims. We think they are worth discussing, especially because very few philosophers are doing so.

I love "Brain in a vat" and being exposed to thought processes. The latest show was disappointing. @helenzille is a politician not a philosopher and politics is a smokescreen. I thus failed to see the 'Why?' have her as a guest. I hope @JasonWerbeloff and Mark take note.

@RationalGent @RomanCabanac @JasonWerbeloff Find it to be one of Jason’s less convincing ideas tbh. It relies on how one views groups and individuals and is therefore quite subjective. His views on destroying Earth as quickly as possible are far more interesting.
