@Joelarcanjo @Booktrust So thank you for Crookhaven - despite being outside the target audience, it encouraged me to make my own world. Hopefully some day I can take my kids into a bookshop, show them my book and yours, and explain the link between them!

A friend convinced me to enter the first chapters in the Faber Action Prize, aimed at finding books that might appeal to boys. Surprisingly, I came 2nd, &got a publishing deal. Hopefully it'll be out in 2027! 2/3
