Note that Albanese did not congratulate Angus Taylor. Because they finally have an opposition.
Anthony Albanese@AlboMP

Congratulations to @sussanley for the grace and the dignity she has shown on a very difficult day. She can take pride in the years of dedicated service she has given to her community, our Parliament and our nation. I have spoken with Sussan to wish her the best for her future.

@AntonyGreenElec @RositaDaz48 What about the citizenship ceremonies that were rushed through before the Election ,as many as 6,000 people in Sydney over a three-day period.

@ImSooooOverIt @JNampijinpa @LiberalsWA Are you insane? Have you ever been to London, LA, Bangkok or Bali, just to name a few? There's literally massive communities of Aussies who lobby governments. Sounds like you've never left your suburb

I'm So Over This! 🇦🇺👸💘
The problem is 'communities' and 'community leaders' Aren't these just people who migrated to Australia to become Australians? This 'community' suggests otherwise. Can someone tell me what countries have 'Australian communities' with an Aussie community leader who represents their interests to that other country's government ... ? Because if there isn't one in India - then an Indian one in Australia can't continue. Australia, at the very least, should practice reciprocity - if we can't do it in your country - you can't do it in ours. THAT IS FAIR.

What a night at the Indian Society of WA’s wonderful Indian Community Centre in Willetton, in Perth’s southern suburbs. I was honoured to be a guest of @LiberalsWA and greatly appreciated the capacity crowd who came along - listening, engaging, and taking part in a frank and fearless Q&A. I was also fortunate to meet several community leaders, whose passion and commitment reflect the immense contribution that Australians of Indian heritage and their community make to Western Australia. It is community spirit like this that keeps our democracy strong. A special thank you to Michelle Hofmann and Senator Matt O'Sullivan for hosting, and to Hon Nick Goiran MLC for joining me in the Q&A.

Advice from wealthy Australian friend who just left Australia for good. "Sell your Victorian properties NOW. By 2030 you won't be able to give them away."

@rohan_connolly Don’t know if I approve of the public screenshot but Jeff definitely didn’t post as if his grandma was reading it. On one hand he did have the guts to post & tweet in his name. On the other, yes it was schoolyard Trumpian banter.

Meet Jeff Keyl everyone. Jeff didn't like a piece I wrote about Ken Hinkley, so he picked another post of mine to tell me I should have died instead of my elder brother Steve. Hope people understand I'm not copping that, so here's the screenshot, along with Jeff's work details.

Omg, are you thick. It is not profitable at all, that's the point. The government is not changing the prices that farmer receives. The farmer income stays the same. The government saying irrespective of how much you earn, if we decide you have to pay more tax, then you pay it. Even if you make a loss

@JakeNiallTHEAGE @CarltonFC @AFL Disagree. Sack Voss tomorrow. I'm a Tottenham supporter and Ange acolyte - give me some reprieve. You know what would be really good and make an awesome Netflix though? Ange for Carlton coach

Whatever changes are needed @CarltonFC - to list, coaching or elsewhere- should & surely will be at season’s end after Graham Wright’s taken a deep dive. That’s how professional @AFL clubs operate. This isn’t Carlton of 2007, let alone 1989. #AFLBluesNorth

@VinnySollozzo88 @CarltonFC Honestly, we're going to have to do a full clean out again. Cripps is 30 FFS, Weitering was on one leg and on painkillers, Curnow clearly injured. Let TDK for his squillions, I don't begrudge him but I want Voss sacked and a new game plan tomorrow

What a disgracefully indulgent, patronising & dishonest reflection this is! I won Dickson by only 176 votes. 400 were placed in a wrong pile. You expose so much of your self to be very unpleasant - to say the least. Zoe Daniel has cast no aspersions on the AEC.
Tim Wilson@TimWilsonMP

I am concerned about the increasing escalation of commentary from the former Member for Goldstein that is trending toward bringing the AEC’s count into question and needlessly seeding questions about the AEC’s processes.

NAB are spot on. Inflation is low. Growth is weak. Wages are cool. A 4.1% cash rate is restrictive. Need to get to low 3s asap. 50 bps on Tuesday is essential. Failure to do this risks downside overshoots all over the shop.
🏄‍♂️Ben@Hero_Hedge

The experts at NAB are still saying the conversation at the RBA will be between 25 and 50. Really? I think it will be 25 and holding. 25 at this point makes some sense for a maintenance cut as inflation cools, but this is hardly going an economy going off a cliff as some like to believe.

The true character of a political movement isn’t revealed under pressure, it’s revealed when things are going well. I have seen this movie far too many times. That’s when you see who they really are. Like quietly dumping performing Muslim and a Jewish ministers from Cabinet.
Troy Bramston@TroyBramston

#Breaking: Statement from #PaulKeating slamming Labor for allowing Ed Husic from the NSW Right to be dumped as a minister to elevate an MP from Richard Marles’ Victorian Right — a faction without ‘creativity and capacity’ — and the dumping of Mark Dreyfus. Brutal. #auspol
