We have to remember there was written laws (The Virginia Slave Code of 1680, South Carolina Negro Act of 1740, Massachusetts Law of 1708, Louisiana Territorial Code Noir of 1806, etc) that explicitly stated that BLACK PEOPLE could not defend themselves against white aggressors under any circumstance. The spirit of those laws exist today, this is the REAL reason today's white supremacists are saying self defense laws don't apply to Karmelo Anthony

Karmelo Anthony trial One of the most telling facts in Karmelo's trial is that Karmelo stabbed Austin Metcalf with such force as to penetrate his sternum (one of the toughest bones in the body) all the way through to Austin's heart. That takes a Lot of force. That shows the intention and power behind Karmelo's decision. Also, Karmelo was no little guy. He was a strong football player and track athlete. Austin was bigger, agreed, but Karmelo was a good sized man. #Karmelo #Austin

Every single witness has testified that Karmelo was the main instigator in this conflict. Every single one. Even the witnesses who were called by the defense. How can you make a self-defense claim when you were the main instigator and you were the only one with a weapon?

@Pro__Trading Who they think was the instigator is secondary. The primary issue is what the evidence says. The evidence says Metcalf was the instigator. He went out of his way to confront Anthony and then put his hands on him and his possessions. It would've been prudent to seek an authority.
