@Faguilar07 @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 Making students more aware of others cultures and building on a open minded view is key. I like that you thought of bringing in books to talk about and reflect on background knowledge. It would also be cool for student to do reports to share about their own culture or community

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 First, we need to consider how it is we will work together. We could bring in informational books, that focus on the injustices that affect the black community, to the classroom. We could send those resources home, for families to inform themselves on. #EDEL5200

@kelilovesteach1 @TrevEduc @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 I like how you brought in the students perspectives as well. Because it is not only teachers, but everyone need to be open minded and understanding of others. Sometimes my students need to step outside the box in order to make positive changes. Teachers can do the same. #EDEL5200

@TrevEduc @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 There is always room for improvement and areas for growth! Whether we are teachers or students we must regulate ourselves and self-reflect constantly in order to be the best teacher possible.

Q4: We all have room for growth. How will you “engage in self-reflection about your beliefs, practices, and biases”? @MrsGallardo1 #EDEL5200

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 I will do this by taking a step back and seeing situations for what it clearly is. Use strategies and data to back up your choices or views. As teachers we MUST be open minded to other peoples situations. And do whatever is necessary to help them. #EDEL5200

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 #EDEL5200 Empathy is to be able to understand where another person is coming from. Especially with my current job, it is best to understand and be open minded because everyone is on a different journey.

@miss_mendozaaa @WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 I defiantly agree with what you are stating! Because sometimes the students know what they need. They know how they learn best. So, it is best for us as teachers to listen and understand where the students are coming from to best meet their needs.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 A1) We can pay attention to their assets and needs and strive to obtain everything they need to succeed. We can also gather their thoughts and ideas and be their voice when it comes to making decisions for our classroom and school. @MrsGallardo1 #EDEL5200

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @WrightMath314 and @MrsGallardo1 How we advocate for our students is by building a rapport with them and doing the proper assessments to truly understand the whole student. Then we can make the proper decisions to best meet their needs. Its also always best to listen to them.

@tom_karnes A2) My favorite project was going to a school to teach and listen to kids play instruments. Even though it did not have a technological aspect to it. But I have had many projects where Excel, PowerPoint, and word are highly useful. #CSUBTED #csubedte4200
