Speaking with 1 of our NP’s yesterday she similarly told me she spends as much time in each visit as the Patient/POA need; this because it could be their last PCP visit. For some it’s a calling and redefines patient (resident) experience @PineParkHealth

Interviewed a dietary director for an assisted living community last week and he said, ‘I put love, care and time into each meal, each plate, because it’s important. For many of our residents my cooking will be the last meal they ever get to enjoy.’ Got chills right there in the interview. Can’t stop thinking about it. Excited to have him joining the team.

Operators and owners are waking up today asking what they will do differently this week than last to move the needle. Seniors housing is a challenge of constant improvement. I've been working on a technology matrix highlighting the best-in-class hard/soft tech solutions in seniors housing and plan to release this week. Also keep an eye out for the first two earnings reports this week. I cut Ensign . . . too many companies to fit in this first go, and they have the lowest seniors:SNF ratio of the bunch.

However, if the plan is legit, and you have a strong network director to partner with, I’d bet they have PCP reports to direct you where you need (even without entire claims dump).

Agree with your vital checklist. Also would add (healthcare impetus) does this community offer on-site: - Primary Care (ideally value-based) - specialists - transitions of care support (what happens if I need acutely head to hospital or SNF) - pharmacy
