Last year, J1 visa delays nearly cost many matched applicants their residency positions. When Forbes reached out to us, we worked alongside multiple leaders to help drive a solution. And fortunately, it worked. We will guide you on how to smoothly transition to J1 status after matching.
If you just matched and need a J-1 visa, this is for you.
The guide covers:
- Full step-by-step J-1 application walkthrough
- Statement of Need
- DS-160, SEVIS fee, and securing your embassy appointment
- Exactly what to say (and avoid) at the visa interview
- Emergency appointment options
- J-2 visas for your spouse and children
Comment "GUIDE" below, and we will DM it to you.
Repost if you know an IMG who needs this. It could save their spot.

@manunitedzone The issue is you don't win. 3 wins in the last 15 league games. What are you talking about?

🚨 Ruben Amorim: “It’s always the same. When we win it’s not the system, when we lose it’s the system. I understand that.” #MUFC

@BereketWL Does she live in Ethiopia? I just don't get why people think it is bad to assimilate? This entitled attitude of wanting them to fit you in and your culture is the issue, actually.

@EliasMeseret It is crazy how time flies, I remember being filled with emotions and trying to hold back my tear while giving this interview on that day.
And nothing changed it just got worse.

Six years ago, Ethiopian health professionals staged a protest to have their grievances heard.
At the time, they explained that the shortages of medical supplies, which had led them to raise complaints, were severely hampering their ability to perform their duties.
Six years later, the situation has worsened from bad to worse — shifting from concerns about a lack of medical supplies to now saying: “We’re starving, we’re thirsty, and we can’t even afford to educate our children.”
This shows just how deeply livelihoods have deteriorated — not only for health professionals but for many other segments of society.
Those who once lived a so-called “better life” are now falling into poverty, while those already in poverty are struggling to survive even a single day.
Repeated claims that a "human-centered" approach is being followed do not bring prosperity or wealth to the public. A truly impactful national policy should deliver meaningful change, not perpetuate suffering. Even now, failing to prioritize what matters most is a mark of poor judgment.
