Neutrality is a lie. Someone will always rule. Something will always be worshipped. For the fools who believe "you can't legislate morality", that is — in fact — what ALL legislation does. The only question is: whose morality is being legislated.

The CATO Institute can post all the fake stats it wants but online crash outs have revealed the truth The myth of the hardworking and grateful immigrant is dead There are some of those, but most just see your country as a bag of money they’re entitled to
Cernovich@Cernovich

“How dare you racist, lazy, stupid Americans make me go back to my home country!” Never seen a crash out like this before in my life. They hate us. The mask is fully off.

@BlinnBeth @William__Tanner @JosiahHawthorne Ok. Let's say a few of those Christians get elected to office, from where should they derive the moral basis for the laws they create? Islam says men can use prepubescent boys for sexual pleasure Christianity abhors such things. Which standard should be followed?

Former President of the SBC wants Baptists to surrender govt and culture. Yes, the Left loves to use government to do evil things. The solution is using government to to good things, not surrendering government to Baal. Beautiful Losers like Bart are why we lost the culture

Bart, Baptist polity requires that government should not legally incentivize church membership or determine what is settled orthodoxy or church polity. Thus, the government should not have a formal establishment. But our polity does not require that government should not preference any "religion." Genesis 9:6 requires that the government recognize that man is made in the image of the God of the Bible. Romans 13:4 says the government must minister to our "good." Surely context requires that the Bible's definition of good is good. How can the government see human beings as God's image or promote the good unless it acknowledges our God as the true God and thus the Christian religion as the true religion?

“I long for the day when the precepts of the Christian religion shall be the rule among all classes of men, in all transactions! I often hear it said, ‘Do not bring religion into politics.’ This is precisely where it ought to be brought, and set there in the face of all men as on a candlestick! I would have the Cabinet and the members of Parliament do the work of the nation as before the Lord, and I would have the nation, either in making war or peace, consider the matter by the light of righteousness. We are to deal with other nations about this or that upon the principles of the New Testament. I thank God that I have lived to see the attempt made in one or two instances, and I pray that the principle may become dominant and permanent! We have had enough of clever men without consciences—let us now see what honest, God-fearing men will do!” —Charles Spurgeon

Saving it will require promoting Christianity over other (false) religions. Whether you're the SBC or the Catholic Church, this is no time to surrender to the Spirit of the Age. For good or evil, the law is a teacher. We must wield it righteously.

I long for a day when interdenominational fights between Christians are the most pressing matter. Unfortunately for us, we don't have that kind of time. The barbarians are at the gate and what's left of Christendom hangs in the balance. (1/2)

To be clear, that's not what I'm advocating for today. What I'm saying is: As a Christian nation, the state must necessarily recognize Christianity as the 1 true faith. Not merely one of many ways to God.

Cameron here would be shocked to learn that states in the US were established as Baptist states in their constitutions. The state even gave a portion of tax revenue to the church.

@JosiahHawthorne Just shocking how little Baptist history so many Baptists know

this is self-referentially incoherent: if gov shouldn’t promote one religious position over another then gov shouldn’t promote the religious position that gov shouldn’t promote one religious position over another

Not only does Bart’s proposed amendment violate the BF&M—but it is WAY BROADER, more I’ll-defined, and unenforceable than any iteration of the Law Amendment (which he worked agaisnt for two years). This is one of the most bad faith suggestions I’ve ever seen from the Platform

Former President of the SBC, Bart Barber, just proposed an amendment to our Constitution to ban Baptists in good standing at their churches from serving as messengers if they subscribe to the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, Article XV. This is genuinely insane.

@bartbarber Um the civil magistrate may not restrict religious practice, but he should certainly promote a religion—Chriatianity! What you’re suggesting would mean that SBC pastors would have to oppose our founding fathers!! That is nuts.
