Just curious what is causing this

@opnsense This prb pop up 2 times in last 48hr

@opnsense i got new internet provider came with a modem can not trun off nat. My question is does having a double nat well this cause any issue if it does cause a issue is there any way I can turn off nat on Opnsense and keeping the firewall rule enable

@opnsense I test the first one and the second one second one I have formed to drive I remove all partials and also I try put all zeros on the hard drive and still coming up the same error

@opnsense @jschellevis Okay I understand I had to do extra step format the SSD then I can install the latest opnsense

@Johnnyluke228 @jschellevis you could also "dd" the whole disk with zeroes but it takes forever

@opnsense I have some problems doing a fresh reload 24.1 when I tried to use the installer zfs it cannot locate my SSD so I try installer Ufs and it failed saying I don't have enough space free

@Johnnyluke228 @jschellevis Yes, this is when this can happen with FreeBSD. It sees a part of the old install for some reason and fails.

@opnsense @jschellevis I re-use the same hardware. Opnsense previous install This is my hardware i am useing Protectli Vault Fw2b with 500gb ssd

@jschellevis @opnsense When I used a older version it worked just fine. Has got to be a problem with the free BSD I think

@Johnnyluke228 @opnsense If this helps it has nothing to do with OPNsense versions. It is the NVME controller that is confusing the OS. Likely a powerfailure that caused it (or just remiving power without correct shutdown).

@jschellevis @opnsense I got a quick question why is this happening opnsense 24.7 this problem was not happy in Opnsense 24.1 did something change installer menu

@Johnnyluke228 @opnsense Just a thought: if its an NVME, try on the cli: nvmecontrol format nvme0 replace nvme0 with the devicename of your device.
