asked my friend what he does for a living
"I get on Zoom calls and give opinions about products"
"and they pay you for that?"
"$300 last call. 30 minutes."
"wait, how much a month?"
"$2,500 minimum"
he's made $110,000 doing this
I stared at my phone for a full minute
here's what he actually does:
THE ZOOM ARBITRAGE SYSTEM:
every morning:
opens 3 platforms (Respondent, User Interviews, UserTesting)
applies to every qualified study (15 mins)
goes back to his day
every evening:
checks for acceptances (10 mins)
schedules 2-3 calls per week
that's it
THE ECONOMICS:
Meta needs feedback on new features → pays $400
Google tests products before launch → pays $300
Apple wants user opinions → pays $250
they make $100M improving products
you make $300 for talking
WHY MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THIS:
Google "paid research studies" → 1,000 scam sites
he spent 6 months finding the real platforms
that's the only barrier
THE MONEY:
$150-500 per study
2-4 studies per week
30-90 mins per call
$1,200-2,500/month
4 years of this = $110,000
WHY PEOPLE FAIL:
they apply to 5 studies and give up
they lie on screeners and get banned
they ghost after getting accepted (instant blacklist)
they don't know which demographics pay more
THE TRUTH:
he doesn't have a business
he doesn't have followers
he doesn't sell anything
he just shows up, talks, gets paid

A win would’ve been nice, but it was still the greatest night of my football life. It’s the moment that I will always remember when the real reason for football clicked in. Football isn’t just a game played with a ball on a field. It’s not just 3-D chess with men colliding. It’s human connection. It’s family genetics. It’s an allegiance passed from generation to generation. I witnessed my son standing in the same place that I stand, screaming at a black square with color pixels for an orange and blue team as if somehow his cries could affect the outcome of the game. Last night was the night that I knew I had done my real job as a Bears fan. I pass the game to the next generation. I shared a forever loyalty. He is fully on his way on a life time journey or highs and lows, love and loss, passion and grit, strategy and might, joy and disappointment. And when the day comes where my son and I are at an impasse. We can always talk about the Bears.
