Called to a report of a timber sleeper on fire.
Line blocked on arrival , sleeper found and fire extinguished from water containers I carry in my van.
Operational assessment made that normal working can resume.
My P-Way colleagues will replace the long timber later.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the crew of the @ScotAirAmb last night for flying out to Arran to collect my dad after he suffered a stroke yesterday. They safely got him across the water to the mainland. A long day for this crew no doubt, yet they came for him. I hope this tweet makes it back to them. As a fellow helicopter crew gal, I hope you know how much what you do matters to people. 🙏🫶 dad is talking now, but a long road ahead 😔😢
@HillfootsMike My dad had an ex British Gas CF with the double wheel at the back. hand painted in brown. The engine blew a spark plug up into the cabin one day. It was a mobile turd.
First van I had was one of these. Bedford CF with a “suicide door” that opened going uphill🥹 wipers worked occasionally. Bonnet opened on its own at 40+mph😵💫Ex rentokill so literally glowed in the dark and a clear view of the road under your feet! 😃 £80 bargain…
Currently enjoying a coffee on the, still sleeping, bus. Looking out over the Scottish countryside on our way to Aberdeen. 5 days in the homeland searching for soul food and old friends.
@PGCiarletta@JimDelahunt@This_Feeling Still can’t beat the ‘78 anthem. My art teacher Peter Nardini wrote the B side, I want to be a punk rocker but my mammy wilnae let me.

Some missions markings on a B1 at Fairford. The bomb markings have numbers on them I can make out 21 and 23 but I can’t work out what the ‘W’ shape marking is
How clean are the cockpit instruments on a brand new aircraft?
This A350-900 is only a few months old… yet look at the dust and fine particles around the buttons 👀
Je Cherche L'amour .... I liked flying the ADV - It was a bit like a Bentley Car - Solid reliable , quick and elegant - Sure it had its faults but it gave you a warm fuzzy feeling .. Image firestreakbooks.com
