Opposing gay marriage was/is one of the biggest conservative Ls ever. Legalising it has: - raised the prestige of monogamous long-term marriages among gay men - made being gay less of a clandestine secret culture - integrated gay men as productive members of society with many positive effects So everything conservatives *should* want came from its legalisation, despite it having been something they opposed.

Libertarians who understand Austrian economics get one thing above all: low time preference. You don’t build civilization, capital, or liberty by demanding instant gratification. After 100 years of the Progressive revolution, central banking, endless wars, regulatory state, welfare bureaucracy and cultural Marxism we’re not getting our Republic back in a single election cycle. High time preference dooms us to rage-posting and irrelevance. That’s why @AP4Liberty’s list matters: • SCOTUS picks ended Chevron deference • Killed the Obamacare individual mandate • Slashed 27,000+ pages of regulations + 10-to-1 rule • Pardoned Ross Ulbricht • First Step Act • Moved marijuana to Schedule III, legalized hemp • Right to Try • Repealed federal net neutrality • Withdrew from Paris Climate Accord & WHO • Trade deals with libertarian Milei and Japan These are real, tangible steps toward liberty. They matter. Yes, Trump has disappointed. No new wars? We’re still entangled. Spending restraint? Deficits are still ballooning. The Massie primary? Pathetic. We see it. We call it out. No sugar-coating. But we’re also not getting everything at once. Governing in a post-Progressive America means coalition warfare, not anarchist fantasy. These incremental wins are necessary starts. The liberty movement has two choices: • High time preference: purity-test every imperfection and stay in the wilderness forever. • Low time preference: celebrate the good, criticize the bad, keep pushing, and play the long game. After a century of statism, only the patient will win. Call out the good with the bad. That’s how we actually restore liberty.

@raquellrussell The Libertarian Party exists. You guys just have to stop pretending it’s impossible for them to win.

There are early signs that monogamy is on the upswing once again, even amongst groups that are currently less monogamous than average.

Normalize being gay while being in a monogamous relationship, having a job, and being part of a family.
