I received this feedback from my PBL tutor, and being someone who suffers from social anxiety & struggles to speak in group spaces (teachers frequently complained to my parents that I didn’t participate growing up), this is truly the greatest compliment.

Imposter Syndrome has been very real since starting medical school, but reading the words of 17-year-old me has reminded me that I do belong here and I am more than capable. The last 5 years did not go as I expected, but I somehow ended up exactly where I am meant to be.

When I was a senior in high school, my English teacher made us write a 5-year letter to ourselves and I recently just received mine. I am truly astounded at the faith younger me had in future me’s journey to medicine.
