Had a great chat today with Yukon premier @RanjPillai1 about how our jurisdictions can work together to address some of the unique challenges affecting the territories.

What they won't tell u is the gov purchased Ruperts Land, which was "owned" by HBC, consisting of 1/3 of Canada's land mass, then had the audacity to turn around and claim those lands as an entailed estate (highest form of ownership).

'nuff said.

The fed gov was reallocating funding from housing on reserve and turning it over to child welfare organizations, there was no separate pot of funding that they were willing to dish out to make sure both programs had sufficient funds, essentially stealing from Peter to pay Paul
