@RobEHoughton This is the beauty of AH, re-combining different facets of Medieval history into new arrangements. Overall, military/cultural/geographical representations are a fusion of Medieval England and France while mystical elements are based in the collective works of Arthurian romance.

@RobEHoughton This lends weight to an observation. Namely Bretonnia's feudalism and cultural alienation between the lower class (English) and the nobility who rule them (French) shares historical allusions to the Anglo-Saxon Englishman and their Norman-French overlords (11th-13th centuries)

#MAMG23 Historical modality or HM (Redder, 2023) entails different multimodal ensembles of gameplay representation by their literacies and meaning-making modes of history. This paper introduces HM for examining gameplay histories as multimodal texts via AH in TWW3’s Bretonnia.
