Finally opened a new #Aikido dojo, this one is in #Leixlip, classes every Thursday at 7:30pm. I’m teaching so pop in for a look this week.

As a photographer seeing a beautiful scene while driving and not being able to turn around and capture it is so sad 😭

As a result of these days, we see clear support from Europe. Even more unity, even more willingness to cooperate. Everyone is united on the main issue – for peace to be real, we need real security guarantees. And this is the position of all of Europe – the entire continent. The United Kingdom, the European Union, Türkiye. Of course, we understand the importance of America, and we are grateful for all the support we’ve received from the United States. There has not been a day when we haven’t felt gratitude. It’s gratitude for the preservation of our independence – our resilience in Ukraine is based on what our partners are doing for us – and for their own security. What we need is peace, not endless war. And that’s why we say security guarantees are the key to this.

@adrianweckler But the reality will be the content is streamed in hi compressed and only unloaded on device then upscaled to 8k so no real need to clog up the internet. If they would just give us 1Gbps each way I’d be more content.

@adrianweckler Internally 10 to 40 Gbps but externally absolutely no need as the rest of the internet I’d be connecting to will be no way near that fast. Bragging rights is all, at least for the next few years. Just waiting for the high bit rate 8k content from the likes of AppleTV and such

Virgin just announced 5Gbs broadband in Ireland. Touch of the 5G dilemma (no-one has a use for it) here; does anyone reading this have a non-enterprise use case for 5Gbs? Genuinely curious and replies welcome!

We discussed a shared vision of real steps to end the war. Ireland supports our approach that the initiative must be joint, as the security of Ukraine and of all of Europe depends on this. We will do everything to achieve a just and guaranteed peace. We also talked about financial aid, our European affairs, and Ireland’s contribution to protecting Ukrainians.
