🔨 Standardized tool calling 🔨 **tl;dr;** we've made some big improvements to working with tools across model providers! 🧰 A new `tool_calls` field directly on messages with the same schema for all providers. 🤖 A new `ToolCallingAgent`. Supports any model with tool calling (@AnthropicAI Claude 3, @MistralAI large, @Google Gemini, OpenAI's GPT-4 etc.), and should improve reliability across the board over purely prompting-based techniques. 🛠️ LangSmith support for beautifully rendering different tool formats in traces 🪢 A standard `bind_tools` method for attaching tools to a model that handles provider-specific formatting. All changes are backwards compatible, and are designed to abstract away the differences that have started to emerge as more providers roll out tool calling (though you can always fallback to passing the provider specific formats too!) We're excited for what you'll build with it!
