Today I was teaching someone young and very new to this how to day trade, read charts, and make decent entries/exits
Made me think back to when I started
I blew up my account multiple times and made every mistake possible.

@JakeSkywalker83 Yes I trade like this too. Support and resistance, combination of the 5 min and 1 min charts and macd + rsi for confirmation. What im struggling with is failed reversals when the price only go up a little bit and then dip back down

Ok, I went and added another $300 to the take for $1200 over a couple of hours, just so I can get into kissing distance to $190k in the day trade account
Ok, now I'll focus on the long plays...promise

$BLNK Went back in and turned it into just shy of $700 for a almost $900 take in day trades and I'm just back in the saddle a little over an hour or two. Not bad. Though I hate missing mornings Likely going to just concentrate on making some moves on my longer plays now.

#newertraders - keep the math in mind.
While I do around $3k average a day, even $550 is significant for most.
There are 221 trading days in a year.
If you average even that much, its the equivalent of a $120k a year job.
And my work day could've ended at 10 AM.

Calling it off early today folks
I've been going back and forth between the market and things I need to do for an Agent showing in 1 hour
My day trade record for the day shows it. Some ugly ones where those distractions really cost me
But net, came out over my $3.5k target.

@Investandbefree I tried your strategy and I like it because its simple and it works! But the problem i have is sometimes the price only make a small reversal and continues to go down. How you got it right each time? How do you know the price is gonna reverse all the way?

Added another $400 or so in a quick 10 min trade
#newertraders - note I exited early. You always have that option.
In choppy markets, take your gains and go in and out quickly.
Better to have multiple small rewards than give anything back to the market

A quick 6 min in and out of $BB for some gas and tequila money.
#newertraders - pay attention to the stability of the bottom. If its feeling shaky, get out. There is always another play.
