The announcement was made by Kwame Oppong - Head, Fintech and Innovation at the Bank of Ghana during the #AMDSGH keynote. Beyond some much needed CBDC announcements, the BoG rep mentioned various ways through which young people can contribute to fintech innovation.

The Bank of Ghana introduced New York-based Emtech to Ghanaians as an entity to help innovators get their fintech products to market quicker. Word on the street is that Emtech is now building Ghana's sovereign digital currency. Interesting.
