Verstappen will wring the neck of any race car so the following has nothing to do with him - but I’d like to add some perspective.
The absolute garbage criticism Mr Hamilton got in the first 2 years of the Ground Effect era, when he went winless, looks absolutely crazy each passing race.
That is despite winning the Quali and Race H2H against Russell in those 2 years, at times by some huge margins.
All it proves is that none of these drivers are the Gods their fans think they are. In a field of world class drivers all separated by fine margins, you’re not going to take the 5th car to victories and titles.
4 years ago I was told otherwise, but it’s turned out not to be.
