This evening @DutchPolar were on the big inspiration evening in @Steenbergen regarding 80years of liberation in the #BrabantseWal municipalities. It was 100% networking. We made nice connections, listened to live music & invited participants for our own liberation event in 2024.

Yesterday a small delegation visited Fort2 #Wommelgem near #Antwerp, where a militaria event took place. In #WW2 this fort Luftwaffe Werkstatt Antwerp was a Reparaturbetrieb. Allies were billeted there in 1944. Now there are various exhibitions, including about V bomb terror.

Nieuwe werkplek! De komende tijd ben ik voor een dag per week onderzoeksconservator bij het Scheepvaartmuseum, om bij te dragen aan de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe tentoonstelling (waarover later meer..). Veel zin om hier met maritieme zaken aan de slag te gaan!

Vanmiddag samen met @Lars_de_Graaf ns @DutchPolar een presentie gehouden bij #Probus club kring #Roosendaal over onze stichting en haar kernwaarden #Education #Remembrance #Research. Probus staat voor professionals en businessmen pensionados. Hopelijk weer enkele vrienden erbij.

Several days ago 3 Dutch commandos were shot at in Indianapolis USA during their free time. They were practising together with the US Army units in a fake village. 1 Of the soldiers has died. Our condolences/thoughts for the family of this soldier. #uselessviolance #RestInPeace
