I met with Édouard Philippe, Mayor of the French city of Le Havre and leader of the Horizons political party. I am grateful for his support for our people, and this visit in particular is an important demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine, especially after Russia’s recent massive attacks against our country. We discussed Ukraine’s movement toward membership in the European Union. We value France’s consistent support on this matter. We expect all negotiating clusters to be opened in the very near future. Special attention was paid to energy assistance and defense cooperation. Our priority is to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and develop our own European anti-ballistic capabilities. I thank France for its support and constant attention to Ukraine’s security situation and European future.

Sonny Rollins est mort hier à 95 ans. Dernier survivant de ce que d’aucuns considèrent comme l’âge d’or du jazz, il aura traversé sept décennies de musique sans jamais se répéter, ce qui, pour un improvisateur, est une performance (je n’y arrive pas dans mes discours…). Sonny Rollins rejoint Parker, Monk et Coltrane. La carrière de ce « colosse du saxophone » aura enjambé le bebop, le hard bop, le free et tout ce qui a suivi, sans jamais perdre son propre son.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ inoxydable et éternel.
