@Zzullerr @AlcieToo Counter point, I'd say the game was "very early" when they launched basically the exact same thing in the pre-alpha over a year ago. At this point maybe it's still early, but how long on that time scale do you expect to wait for some decent amount of change? A decade?

@AlcieToo Well structured post. The only thing I would say is that the next competition is also Pop. The game is very early and there is not enough supply of tokens for everyone that wants to play. I would recommend giving it a couple weeks for it to make sense playing.

I wanted to love Music Moguls. I loved the idea of it and the possibilities there were. I do not love how it has been executed. I bought 2 packs in June 2022. They cost about 725 WAX each. That was $75 at the time (now about $40). So a $150 buy into something I thought could be fun in the future. And it was actually even more than that, because I bought additional NFTs to blend up to the next level for some of them. I got a third pack somewhere down the line in August 2022. And a single pack in March 2023. So I was as in as I could be. A year and a half later, we have a game. It launched this past Tuesday (January 16th.) In order to play that first week, you had to burn some of the NFTs to get enough tokens to rent a recording studio, record a song, and submit said song to the competition. If you were in the top 500, you would get a reward of some amount in CNOTEs, depending on the range you were in. CNOTEs would allow you to continue. To go on tour to get more CRED to record more songs and continue to participate in the weekly song competitions. If you get no CNOTEs, you either have to buy some CRED from a DEX or CNOTEs to go on tour or try to record again. The NFTs I burned initially, since my pack pulls weren't great, were worth about 300 WAX on the 2ndary market. My song did not place in the top 500. So I got not CNOTE. So here I am. I am going to have to sell everything I have at a loss and try to recover what I can. I get that it isn't an instant thing. But if I have only Pop stars and there is a pop competition only once every 4-5 weeks, and I am only able to pull at C+ or B, I am never going to be in the top 500. Which means I will never be able to get CNOTE. Which means I will never be able to progress unless I throw more money out there. What is the incentive to continue putting into it when it is going to take a huge investment to get in the top, lets say, even 100. To get to a point where I am making enough to just sustain me in the game? I am not whining here or being negative or nearsighted. I feel like there really could have been more thought put into how to develop this into an actual experience that does not require your players to burn everything they put into it just to try it out. You had a year and a half and this is where you took it. I really don't understand why it had to go in this direction. WEB3 doesn't have to mean you bilk your users out of their assets on launch day. Congrats to the people who did, by chance, get something at the top. I'm out on this one unless someone can convince me that there is some other reason to continue.

@AlcieToo @musicmogul_io @WAX_io Thanks, I wasn't willing to devote any time reading articles for what I saw. And I'm definitely not interested in burning for chance. The amounts I saw for "burning" performances still meant you'd have to burn quite a bit to even get started on a grind that I don't want to grind
