The MCU is confusing enough without casting Captain Marvel as Elektra!!!

General Election 2024: My reaction to the snap election and a Tory party that has lost its mind. Safe to say the first 24hrs have been totally normal. Big shout out to Steve Bray for his historic D:Ream moment. Who will be your Portillo moment? I currently have 50 contenders.

@DavidHughesTwit Your claims are true of 2014-2015, but not true of today. Azov hasn't worn the Wolfsangel for years, war crimes accusations are 9 years old, and the numbers of neo-Nazis in the unit appear to be tiny. Why does this 'neo-Nazi' unit have so many Jews serving in it?

Imagine lionizing the neo-Nazi Azov Regiment, which wears the "Wolfsangel" emblem and embraces the fascist ideology of blood and soil, without mentioning accusations that they terrorise and/or execute ethnic Russians and those suspected of sympathizing or working with separatists
Dan Sabbagh@dansabbagh

Russia can replace 20,000 to 30,000 casualties a month meaning it can attack across the Ukrainian front...in some places, like the Serebryansky forest, months of attacks have been held off by units like Azov. But can the whole line hold? theguardian.com/world/2024/apr…

@FraserC69 It's fascinating how little action they get away with, and how much of this show has the kind of adult conversations we wished the original had.

You don't have thought bubbles per se, however what you do have is characters in various scenes delivering short "thought bubble" style dialogue, often to themselves/the ether. This fleshes out their inner lives, delivers storytelling economy and adds emotional depth.

I think we can all agree that #XMen97 absolutely rules. And one of the reasons it is achieving strong emotional heft is a modified form of comic book storytelling many have dismissed as outmoded, thought balloons. Hear me out.

Chatted with my kids about the Ofcom children's media habits report and asked them if they watched ASMR videos because they're hugely popular with under 18s. So now we are sitting in a cafe watching hydraulic presses crush things and I can see the appeal!

A lot of people knocking Taylor Swift’s new album would’ve loved it if it came from Stevie Nicks, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey [etc.]
