Generator guy came to my house this morning for a service. He said he sold his company last year; had 50 employees, and was clearing about $1.2M in SDE. He said he got a good deal because they paid him about 90 cents on the dollar for his assets and inventory (total of $600k) and hired all his employees. I was physically nauseous.

@aincomeinvestor Yes exactly normies will never understand though. Why lock up your money in jail for 40 years when having liquidity opens way more opportunities. Do the math and the match only pays for the taxes when you pull the money.

People call me crazy when I tell them I contribute solely to my taxable brokerage and 0% to my 401k. I’m not locking my money up for 40 years for an employer match. What I did instead: built my taxable brokerage accounts. Created large positions in index funds and great companies, also built monthly dividend income to over $2,000 per month. Liquidity is my whole game at 24.

Dear Gen X, You don't need that box from the whoop/iphone/microphone you bought 2 years ago, which is working fine. Throw it out.

The problem isn’t tariffs, rates, or trade. The problem is MONEY IS CREATED AT NO COST, AND THE COST OF CAPITAL DEPENDS ON HOW CLOSE THE BORROWER IS TO THE MONEY PRINTER. This destroys market signals, creates immeasurable deadweight loss, and harms 99.9% of market participants.
