his remission bell December 4th. On December 7th Karter will be celebrating his 2nd birthday! It’s been a long heartbreaking journey, but this little warrior made it! Karter is our Hero of the week for being so strong and inspiring! [3/3]

He then spent three weeks in the Pediatric intensive care unit. Fortunately, he recovered well enough to spend most of the rest of his 150 day journey inpatient on the pediatric oncology floor. After five rounds of chemotherapy, he is in full remission and was able to ring [2/3]

On Easter day 2017 Karter was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. He was then life flighted to Washington DC to Children’s National Medical Center. Within 24 hours of diagnosis Karter’s kidneys shut down. He was also on a dialysis machine, a ventilator, and fighting for his life. [1/3]

“I first joined TNT in 2009, after surviving a bout with Hodgkin's...I had my final chemo treatment on June 10, 2008. 11 days later, we got married on schedule, and then in 2009, I completed my first marathon while running for TNT to help others with cancer.” We <3 you, Matt.

HERO OF THE WEEK Kathy Stenberg She’s a charismatic, hilarious, woman and she has Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). Kathy is our Hero of the Week because she, "hopes to inspire other patients like herself and to help LLS raise money so we can find a cure for this awful disease."

HERO OF THE WEEK.... Is.... Thaddeus "BEAST MODE" Tatcher!!! He's been fighting Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia since October 2014!! He likes football, karate, the violin and staying strong in the fight against blood cancer!!
