I'll be honest, I've been struggling with the Christian concept of "resurrection" for awhile. I've talked about this with a few people. I put that in the “beautiful story” box of Christianity, something I wanted to believe, but just couldn't. I've loved Church, the community, the moral teachings, the concepts of love, kindness, generosity. Those are the reasons we decided to go back. But my goodness... I have STRUGGLED with believing the Gospel story. Rising from the dead? I don't know, it was something I just haven't been able to get past. Until today. I just got past it. Not blindly, I'm not covering my eyes and running. But I am trusting that I cannot see, not a blind faith, but a compelling one. Faith that looks at the hunger for justice I have wired into me and says, “That didn’t come from nowhere.” Faith doesn’t ask me to ignore reality; but rather demands I face ALL OF IT, in it's most terrifying forms ...and still step forward. So if I do not have the Resurrection, I have nothing. No justice, no reunion, and the story ends... ...and today, I just refuse to believe the story ends there

How many times have you gone back to their profile, checking to see if they’ve lost followers? Your heart has grown full of hate, and that hate drives you to silence people you disagree with. Some even take it further—beyond silencing—by trying to eliminate them. They try to eliminate them sometimes because of envy, because they cannot debate them, because they are more popular, more liked. Envy is the most destructive of human emotions. And so, as you point fingers at others, remember how intolerant you have become yourself!

@ZVR09 Answering #1 is where it can be tricky. Is it gross pay with no retirement and benefits? This would essentially end the 401k pretax. Then does the 15% cover : federal tax, social security tax, Medicare tax, state income tax, state disability tax….

(1) How much did you earn? (2) Subtract 50k from line 1. (3) If line 2 is greater than 0 multiply by .15. (4) Pay the amount on line 3.

Replace IRS with flat tax. Everyone pays the same rate above 50k. Your first 50k is not taxed, over 50k is taxed at 15%. Zero deductions, zero loopholes. Tax form is 4 lines:

The Prediction markets are pushing more towards a Harris Victory. Harris has gained 5 Points in the last 24 hours. In my mind Harris at 39% is drastically underestimating how the polls will trend and how the ultimate outcome of the election will be. Is Harris' chance of winning in November greater than 39%? I think so!
