@MillsTwitch @CatholicPacman But eventually you will and when photorealism is the “art”, you have to use the tools that get you there. The other side of this is, if you’re spending less time as a development team working on polish, you can actually focus on immersion an depth in the game

@CatholicPacman Fully understand where you're coming from, and appreciate what y'all do (as I've said before). But SOME (not all) are doing these photorealistic still pictures expecting that that can go in a game and interact in motion/contact with other pieces...and that simply isn't true.

I love what the equipment community is doing in showing what they want from College Football and Madden 27. I REALLY wish they'd stop using AI to do it. It's setting an extremely bad standard.

You've probably seen @HardwoodEmpire. A college basketball simulation so fun and addictive that even Division I head coaches are playing it. I spoke to the Providence student and self-described hustler who built it himself, with a focus on community 🔗:midmajormadness.com/general/35411/…

@softdrinktv AI actually should be an excellent asset for sports games. Annual releases are very difficult. And sports sim logic and stats and making things realistic would be much better if they utilized AI the correct way. It would create a much more immersive product

My thoughts on AI + gamedev: humans should make every creative decision. If you prompt an AI to make a game for you, it will be slop. But using AI to write repetitive code or debugging tools to save time is perfectly fine. AI can assist, but it shouldn’t replace human creativity

If EA were to bring NIL to College Football 27, this is how I would do it: You have a dynamic recruiting budget based on success, team prestige, and other school grades like conference prestige that would factor in Recruiting hours are replaced with money, but depending on a guys main 3 interests, you could have to pay more/less than other schools. A player being money driven is an idea for a new dealbreaker For high school recruiting you can scout every week, but you have 4 main windows to pitch players to sign (similar to the transfer portal) After each pitch window, you can see what other schools offered and how much they offered so you can change your bid before players make a decision At the end of each season, players on your team can either transfer, ask for more money, or take a pay-cut which is tied to their performance The transfer portal works the same way as high school, 4 pitch windows with more guys signing longer it goes on That’s how I would do it. I think what I’ve come up is feasible, plus it would tie in really well to the current dynamic dealbreakers HOWEVER, nailing AI recruiting and roster management would be very challenging with a budget. That’s where I’d fear it could fall short I could also see numerous reasons NIL can’t be implemented, due to lack of info atm, schools not wanting budgets public, players not having values tied to their name (we can’t even edit IRL guys equipment rn), etc I highly doubt my version of NIL is gonna be possible, but it was fun to come up with, especially since I don’t have to code it 🤣

@ASDChamp @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Harris - 51.8% Trump - 46.1% Yes - 51.5% No - 48.6% So actually the move suggests that this is less popular than the democrat who headed the ticket and lost the overall election

@MJHamilton113 @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Given the outrage from Texans not being allowed a vote, I doubt. Texas is not as red as you'd think, and trumps presidency has been very negatively received all aroun And I'm not missing the point. I get it. But this wouldn't have happened if the right didn't force it.

@ASDChamp @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia I’m good with voting but you’re still missing the point here. We all know Texas will vote red and Virginia blue. So why should either side use that to expand their advantage? And with that, Virginia expanded theirs much more in relation to population

@MJHamilton113 @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Be fine with it as in, accept the will of the people? Yes. Like our country elected Trump by will of people. It's not my vote, but it was a vote. That's how the country works. We both have already agreed they shouldn't have done it to begin with. x.com/i/status/20470…

@YoAdrienne1968 So Texas gerrymanders without a vote and you applaud, but the will of the people is voted for in Virginia and you get angry? Sounds like cognitive dissonance to me…

@ASDChamp @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia I didn’t lose, I’m not picking a political side here. They’re both unacceptable. But if you think what Texas did is worse after using a 51/49% vote to stack 91/9%, you’re being disengenious

@MJHamilton113 @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia If VA did exactly what Texas did, it would be abysmally worse. However, they gave the power to the people. And in the history of America we've always, although sometimes angrily, accepted that.

@ASDChamp @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia The vote was along the same lines as the presidential election and thus seats should follow the same way. Again, comparing what happened in Texas to Virginia is disengenious. Texas went from 25-13 to 30-8. Virginia went from 6-5, 10-1….neither is good. Virginia is worse

@MJHamilton113 @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Yes we can be honest. Gerrymandering is lame. But one of them was put to a vote and decided on by the people, (like our presidency for example) and the other was forced downs peoples throats. Don't like Trump, or Gerrymandering, but at least they were voted in. Unlike Texas

@ASDChamp @stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Texas also shifted the seats slightly, and in a state where republicans won by a wide margin. This takes a state that was 52/48, 6/5 to 10/1…they are not the same at all. Gerrymandering across the board is terrible but can we actually be honest here?

@stockcowmoo @MikeStrawMedia Well, the Republicans did it in Texas without a public vote. They right loved that so much, Ted Cruz wrote an article about why gerrymandering is a good thing. But Virginia does it WITH THE CITIZENS VOTING, and now they want to complain lol. At least VA had a vote.
