This new tool is, as far as I am aware, the first of its kind to use AI to try to read the tea-leaves on how candidates might rule on the new income tax. choosejudgeswisely.com Five of 9 seats are up for election in August (primary) & November (general). We are in fact electing a majority bench to the Washington State Supreme Court, and it matters tremendously, both on the income tax, and on many other things Olympia legislators would like to do. There is usually very little information on judicial candidates, but this tool should really help. Consider sharing it with your friends, family and colleagues.

Capital gains tax revenue has collapsed $491M (-58%). Estate tax revenue fell $413M (-49%). Nearly a billion dollars — gone in one year. They promised this money would fund schools. It won't. Now they're passing an income tax to plug the holes. Same scam. Bigger price. When this also fails to meet their projections, they'll come for your wallet. Vote YES on IP26-645 to stop the tax and end the cycle.

This is beyond the pale. Calling something “rigging the system” while openly threatening to rig Washington’s system for partisan advantage is an incredible statement from a sitting governor. Washingtonians expect fair districts, not politicians choosing their voters. He works for the party, not the people. Every citizen of Washington should be deeply disturbed by this statement.

President Trump put out the call to rig the system in order to maintain the Republican majority in Congress, and red states are answering. I support efforts to level the playing field. In Washington state, we would need a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate to change our redistricting process. If we get that supermajority, I would not only support a redistricting effort — I would lead it. seattletimes.com/seattle-news/p…

It is insane that America has given a monopoly on letter delivery to a quasi-governmental agency that then uses it to flood our homes with useless garbage against our will. America would never allow FedEx, UPS, DHL, or anyone else to force this on us.

The governor & legislature slashed Medicaid during the 2025 session BEFORE Trump's first federal budget. The budget request from the WA Health Authority asked for nearly half-a-billion dollars to fill in the gap created by the legislature. This isn't a Trump problem. #waleg

36,500 fewer Washingtonians enrolled in healthcare provided under the Affordable Care Act this year. Many are facing doubling or tripling premiums thanks to President Trump and the MAGA Senate. We can't backfill the entirety of their devastating cut. However, we invested $55 million in our budget for assistance on health care premiums for low-income individuals to mitigate some of the impact.

In Washington state, utilities are asking for 30% rate increases specifically due to the energy policies @JayInslee created as governor. He is completely detached from the reality of what is happening in the real world and the suffering his policies have created. #waleg

Clean energy is the lowest-cost, most readily-available resource available to meet rising energy demand. Policymakers who want to address affordability should combine any near-term relief with reforms that expand a clean energy grid. Both necessary for sustained ratepayer relief.
