I have been watching him deliberately mislead people for months: He told CNN’s @mkraju “there is not anything else coming.” He assured @LuluGNavarro of the New York Times that there was nothing else he wanted to get ahead of. He encouraged the readers of @TIME to “just trust me, bro.” His campaign confirmed on record his sexting occurred, then he went on camera with @PHirschkorn and tried to retract that confirmation, by again, calling me a liar. In the national media he claims he’s being accountable, in the state media he claims anything that comes out is a lie, a false allegation, or a motivated attack. His narratives don’t match. If his redemption arc was real, he would have apologized for dragging me into this mess a long time ago.

June 6: Democratic Senate hopeful Graham Platner was less than eager to talk to reporters as he hit campaign events on the Maine coast near his hometown of Sullivan. This is Platner country.

Platner continues to run a combative campaign, vilifying American business leaders and "establishment" politicians. “Politics is about power,” Platner told a crowd in Portland last night. “And in this country, power comes from two places: organized money or organized people.” Meanwhile, a deeper dive into Graham Platner's vendor spend and max-out ($3,300+) donor list strongly reveals he is running a venture-capital-style political startup, built by out-of-state elites, with a hyper-fixation on digital and media burn rates. While he does have a small footprint of local Maine staff, his core financial architecture is entirely untethered from the state of Maine, relying on expensive out-of-state consultants and digital agencies. Out of his top 10 vendors, only 8-10 are located in Maine. Those make up a minuscule fraction of his total spending. And then there's his incoming cash flow. Here's where his large-dollar donations come from: Maine - $919,000. California - $647,000 New York - $609,000 Massachusetts: - $399,000 Colorado / DC / Florida: ~$350k combined None of this data includes the out-of-state PAC money that has been spending millions on attack ads against Senator Collins. So to summarize, Platner is taking $11 million, a large portion of which is coming from CA, NY, and MA, bypassing local Maine consultants and ad agencies entirely, and handing it directly to D.C. and Pennsylvania firms to bombard Maine airwaves.
