NSDCC has developed a series of short videos with stories of people ageing with HIV. Their lived experiences not only provide insights into history but also serve as beacons of hope for HIV prevention and the eradication of stigma.

Their narratives epitomize resilience and triumph over stigma, economic adversity, and other health challenges, including non-communicable diseases. Moreover, their stories underscore Kenya's progress as a nation striving to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2027.

HIV was first reported in Kenya 40 years ago. Availability of ARV treatment since then has significantly enhanced quality of life for people living with HIV. As of 2022, 1,297,814 people were on treatment, including the elderly, who have bravely battled HIV for nearly 3 decades.
