The general social & other media, some politicians and some people shaming the Bandi Bageerath POCSO case survivor, exposing her identity, and going so far saying - “nothing will happen to the accused, the survivors future is a question mark”. This sets a precedent scaring any and every survivor of a sexual harassment case, with the kind of media circus that even women are getting involved in. This is a terrifying future for the girls who may want to seek justice but will decide not to, because of the media circus : and have more rapists run free, especially in a country where they get bail easily anyway. No wonder this society stood up in arms when we speak about consent.
