@purnispeaks Quirkos is good if you want to work only with text. It doesn’t allow you to use photos or audios. I recently tried LiGRE software. It is free and quite user friendly but only the web version is available to use. There are some reasonably priced paid versions for this as well.

Question for qualitative researchers: what free softwares would you recommend for qualitative analysis? Not NViVo and Atlas-Ti which costs an arm and leg, and is beyond what students, especially in the global south.

From a survey of 7,00,000 children across 461 districts in rural India, the ASER 2022 survey showed a sharp decline in foundational reading and arithmetic levels of children aged 6-14 years. #ASER2022 @asercentre @Pratham_India

@rambletastic @ERC_Research Congratulations! This looks both interesting and challenging. Working together requires a move away from confrontational accountability, which is currently more relied on to increase state’s responsiveness to citizens. Would love to learn more about the project plan.

Honored and excited to be awarded this 5-year @ERC_Research grant for Relational State Capacity (RSC) - seeing state capacity as relational contracts (trust, credibility, clarity) between bureaucrats and citizens! 1/

A very interesting blog showing how increased opportunities of interactions between teachers and parents have the potential to promote discussions around children’s foundational learning in rural India.
