It provides students the opportunity to self-correct and identify any mistakes they have made when explaining how they solved the math problem. It also gives students the opportunity to think about and analyze their strategy.

Students definitely become stressed when taking timed test because they know they have a short time to complete the problems.

It allows them to find their mistakes and is a fun activity to learn math. Students learn new strategies they may not have thought of. #EDEL5200 #KTR

@AnneOBannon2 @joboaler Timed test are a reason for math anxiety. Having a limitation on time to complete an exam gives students and adults stress and pressure. Having a time limit to complete a math test limits our thought process. It's not enough time, which limits the strategies we use. #EDEL5200#KTR
