1/6 Mark’s family are heartbroken to announce that he passed away late on Tuesday following a period living with advanced prostate cancer. Mark was much-loved by his friends and family, but also greatly appreciated in his professional life, which this thread aims to celebrate.

As a commuter, I'd sooner put up with months more strike misery than give in to greedy trade union barons. Ministers should stand firm: give more than an inch and they'll only be back for a pile more.

I’m Matt, an NHS nurse, and an organiser at @NurseSayNO I’m on strike tommorow. I wish I wasn’t - I’d much rather be doing my job of looking after people. The average nurse in the UK has lost 20% of their income the last 10 years. We have no other choice to #NHSStrike
