Lo que hoy conocen como SSD, NVMe o discos de almacenamiento antiguamente eran literalmente unos discos fisicos que giraban a 5400 revoluciones por minuto o mas (todavia se usan pero solo para algunos tipos de datacenters de backup donde la velocidad de lectura no importa mucho) Cada vez que guardabas un archivo nuevo en esos discos y modificabas, borrabas etc, dependiendo de donde caia el cabezal en ese momento, te escribia en una zona física del disco diferente, entonces cuando luego querias leer lo que tenias grabado resulta que los "pedazos de un mismo archivo" estaban sueltos (fragmentados) por todo el disco y para leerlos tenia que girar mucho mas vueltas el disco que si hubieran quedado juntos Despues de un tiempo usando la compu estaba tan "fragmentado" el sistema de archivos que la compu se hacia terriblemente lenta y no te quedaba otra que correr el famoso "desfragmentador" que es esa cosa horrenda que se ve en el tweet q iba rejuntando los bytes de los pedazos de archivos para ponerlos juntos en la misma zona del disco
