With their 2026 Indian Wells match their first meeting in almost eight years, Sabalenka and Osaka could face off again just weeks later in Madrid. Both are into to 3R, and if Sabalenka beats Cristian and Osaka overcomes qualifier Kalinina, they'll clash in 4R.

Further to this, Sabalenka played 75 matches in 2025, 20 of which were against top-10 opponents -- a ratio approaching 27%. Feels like a lot?? Haven't crunched the numbers, but are any other players facing top-10 opponents in more than a quarter of their matches in a season?
