So, like last year when i dropped this update that has taken a lot of people out of the country already as the success rate was high. I am bringing you all the opportunity AGAIN this year. Many of you here have been quietly planning to leave Nigeria. Most of you have been working on this plan for 18, 20, sometimes 24 months. The visa isn't the problem. The money isn't the problem. What's holding the plan together by a thread is IELTS. And it's not because IELTS is unusually hard. It's because most candidates prepare without ever knowing if they're actually ready. They keep watching videos, doing past questions, downloading materials. But they can't honestly answer the most important question: what would I score tomorrow? If that describes where you are, there's a 4-Week IELTS Exam Ready Masterclass starting 15th of June, built to close that gap. Sharing this to help someone, everyone quietly working on their plan. PRESS STATEMENT Federal Ministry of Finance Approves Payments to 1,240 Local Contractors The Federal Ministry of Finance has approved payments to more than 1,240 contractors, providing immediate liquidity support to businesses across the country and reinforcing the Federal Government's commitment to meeting its financial obligations. The approval, granted by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, follows a diligent verification and reconciliation undertaken by the Ministry to ensure that only duly validated obligations qualify for payment. The payments cover contractors across various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and represent a significant step in addressing long-standing payment obligations, particularly those affecting indigenous businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Contractors prioritised for payment in the most recent batch are those with verified claims in the region of ₦100 million or less. The release of funds is expected to provide immediate relief to hundreds of businesses, enabling them to return to project sites, pay workers, settle suppliers, meet financial commitments, and support economic activity across the country. This development reflects the Ministry's commitment to translating policy objectives into tangible outcomes by resolving inherited obligations in a transparent and fiscally responsible manner. Over the past few months, the Federal Government has processed payments exceeding ₦700 billion across various categories of verified obligations owed to local contractors. Within the month of May alone, approximately ₦436.6 billion in transactions were processed, demonstrating a significant acceleration in payment activity aimed at unlocking liquidity and supporting economic growth. By prioritising a large number of smaller contractors rather than concentrating payments among a few large beneficiaries, the Government is broadening the economic impact of these disbursements, supporting businesses across different sectors and regions of the country. The latest payments are expected to strengthen confidence among contractors, suppliers, and service providers doing business with government by demonstrating the Government's commitment to honouring duly verified obligations. For many beneficiaries, the release of funds represents more than a financial transaction. It provides the certainty needed to sustain operations, preserve jobs, complete ongoing projects, and contribute to economic recovery and growth. The Ministry remains committed to maintaining fiscal discipline while ensuring that legitimate obligations are settled in a timely manner going forward to substantially reduce outstanding liabilities over time, strengthen confidence in public financial management, and support the effective delivery of public services and infrastructure. The Federal Ministry of Finance has approved the settlement of payments to more than 1,240 contractors working with various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), prioritizing those under ₦100 million. In a statement issued on Monday, Mary-Ann Duke, Senior Special Assistant on Communication and Press Secretary to the Minister of Finance, explained that the approvals came after a thorough verification and reconciliation process to confirm outstanding obligations to the contractors. The exercise places priority on verified claims below ₦100 million, as indicated in the official announcement. This initiative aims to address legacy debts, ease cash flow challenges for businesses, and promote greater transparency in government payments.

On this Sharia issue I personally have no problem with it. The problem has always been the implementation. The implementation ends up stifling the environment for non practicing Muslims Except you want to tell me that the Northern states in Nigeria will have to expel all the Christians living there which is impossible Sharia law is easy and smooth to implement in climes where you have at least 95% Muslims living there and there are not up to 3 states in Nigeria with an Islamic population of even 90%. And for those who say "Sharia is only for Muslims". Oh well, stop lying. I was almost lynched in Suleja when I followed someone for a telecommunications mast gig because they said the guy saw a woman bathing. In the same Kwamba area of Suleja, people buy beer like it's cocaine. They hide to buy it. It's hoarded because Sharia enforcers can kill you if no one is watching. Yes they stabbed someone in Kwamba in 2011 and left him in harmattan cold because he was drunk. So yes, Sharia if well implemented, affects everyone living in the location. Christian or Muslim. And Nigeria being a secular state is incompatible with it. Some countries implement Sharia and it's working fine for them. That's because they are 90+% Muslims. If You want Sharia by all means, then we must restructure the country. We will have Christian states and regions and Muslim states and regions. Then it can work But this is 2026, nobody is doing that. Let's figure out how AI will not make everyone Jobless.
