India is so far ahead in engineering education than the US. A coding bootcamp is like going to a seminar class at college. Indians are actually working hands on with the state of the art technologies at college. I wouldn't hire Americans over Indians right now. But America has hope if they can train better engineers

Both things are true. All this can be solved by setting a reasonable lower limit on H1-B salaries. Say 100k ...??? Also, the US has had 30 years to become more competitive in STEM. No President, no one in Congress did jack shit about it. US spent those 30 years waging wars in the Middle East rather than strengthening your school curriculums.

Only 38% of America thinks the H1B program is necessary for some industries to be competitive. More think it's about undercutting wages.
