One of the best tests for single women is: when a guy offers to buy you a drink, say no but that you'd split an appetizer with them instead. If they're just trying to get you drunk, they'll usually say "nevermind." If not, they'll be excited you accepted the intro at all. (Because there's no such thing as a truly free drink.)
If you experience this kind of anxiety, I recommend learning some DBT exercises such as the body scan or other grounding exercises. Learning to respond rather than react is hard but practice does give results and relief.
But know that responding in a more measured way will not change the issues of someone avoidant. That takes inner work and you can't love that into someone.
@RachelZader i’m not likening it to hyposis in the literal sense, i just think my skepticism over it made it really difficult to allow myself to be comfortable with it in a meaningful way

One of my favorite little details in Stardew Valley is it gives you 15 parsnip seeds at the start. At 16 crops, crows attack. You can also substitute out two parsnips for a green bean and cauli for the bundle leaving 13 parsnips…exactly what you need for farming level 1
