We’ve dumbed down our brains the same way we’ve made our bodies obese. We feed our brains and bodies junk, and that’s all they want.

@gregNEVERchills Write more interesting books. Having worked and volunteered in school libraries, I can tell you that kids want regular books, but what’s at their disposal isn’t interesting to them. And some kids just want brain candy (just like some adults). It’s okay. It’s reading for pleasure.

My biggest issue with the book fairs is the number of graphic novels. The kids need more books with words, not less. I understand the need for graphic novels to bridge the gap for kids who don’t like reading. But those should be in addition to books with words, not replacing

@LibertyJen I also have a 1 year old 77 pound puppy, who’s only partially crazy. The other part is sweet and cuddly. She might calm your totally insane puppy down to just partially insane, lol! As an added bonus, she’s up for adoption!

We have an INSANE puppy right now and Steven’s solution to the insane puppy (one year old and 77 lbs) is to get another puppy. NOOOOOOOO 😭

Make sure the kids are getting lots of mobility practice when you're PT'ing with them. I've seen high-schoolers who could not even execute a cartwheel or wall-supported handstand because they simply never moved much when they were little.
